Anyone have experience with implants. I've tried everything to no avail. Caverject works great but the pain afterwards has become too severe. My urologist wants me to consider the semi-rigid rods (fewer problems, last longer). I want to know as much as possible before making a decision because there is no turning back once they are in.

Bob on the blogspot has pictures of after implant and there are stories both pro and con in the implant group. This group will give you a lot of information.

I had my penile implant surgery done about 13 months ago. I have never been sorry that I done it. Myself I don't feel i lost any length and the girth about the same . I will say it take about 2-3 months before your really happy you had it done. But with each new day I felt improvement. And it does wonders for your confidents and state of mind.

I had a radical prostatectomy 1 year ago. It was supposed to be a nerve sparing operation, but alas it wasn't. I am, however, please that I am cancer free and dealing with impotence than able to have an erection but worrying about cancer. Now onto the implant question. I am a physician assistant so I know a little abou this stuff. I went to a seminar about penile implants and I'm sold on their usefulness. I've asked a couple of patients and their wives about them and they are quite happy with the results. The wives have almost universally said that the tumescence (hardness) isn't quite like the real thing, but it's not far off. They make pumping up the implants part of their foreplay and go from there. One patient I had was actually on his third implant from wearing them out! Hope that helps.

I had my penile implant done last February, 2007, and I, like you, have been so very pleased with the outcome. Each day gives me more confidence in my maleness and after years of seeing my penis shrink and slowly become practically nothing, it is so gratifying to me personally to have fullness once again. I would encourage anyone with ED to consider this procedure - it has helped me so much.
